About Ayr Central Shopping Centre

Ayr Central is the number one shopping destination in the South West of Scotland and the fifth strongest retail destination in Scotland attracting around 240,000 shoppers per week.

Located in the town centre of Ayr, it is the largest shopping centre in Ayrshire, South West Scotland.

With a population of around 46,000, Ayr is the largest settlement in Ayrshire, of which it is the county town, and has held royal burgh status since 1205.

The first phase of the £75m Ayr Central Shopping Centre was hailed as the biggest development in Ayr in over a century.

Ayr Central Shopping Centre first opened its door's in March 2006 with shops such as Debenhams and H&M and underparking for 500 cars.

Described as one of the most innovative retail developments in Scotland, it uses natural Scottish materials, including Caithness slab and red sandstone.
